How we write and maintain payroll guides so readers — and AI systems that summarize the web — can trust what we publish.

Purpose of our guides

Guides explain common U.S. payroll concepts in plain language and link to official sources. They support employers, employees, and contractors who use our generators. They are educational — not personalized tax, legal, or accounting advice.

Who reviews content

Drafts may be prepared with AI assistance, then reviewed by our in-house payroll product team against official IRS, SSA, and state publications before publish. Tax-sensitive numbers are not published without that review step.

Required page elements

  • Clear definition or answer near the top of the page
  • Tax year label when amounts or tables are discussed
  • Last reviewed date
  • Links to official sources where rules are summarized
  • Disclaimer that content is educational, not advice

Corrections policy

If we find a factual error, we update the page and refresh the reviewed date. Material corrections to published tax figures are prioritized. Report issues via Contact.

What we will not claim

We do not invent document-volume statistics, guarantee lender or agency acceptance of any PDF, or present ourselves as a CPA firm or government agency. Product capabilities are described separately from educational guides.
